Hester, of White Lake, had his second hole-in-one of this year at
Carolina Sands at White Lake. Hester, who was tournament chairman of the
Smithfield Tournament, held this past spring, made a hole-in-one during
that tournament with a seven-iron on the 135 yard fifth hole. Saturday
afternoon Hester made his second hole-in-one of the year when he jarred
his nine-iron tee shot on the 115 yard number two hole. Playing with
 Hester Saturday was Dr.
Bruce Phillips, Ronnie Tart, Norgie Hester and Elmer Tessenear.
A post-script to the hole-in-one...Hester eagled
the 455 yard par five number 13th hole later in the round. The ace
Saturday was Hester’s third hole-in-one in his golfing career.
