Hole-In-One Highlights Elizabethtown Rotary Cool Breeze Golf

Everyone playing in the Elizabethtown Rotary Club Cool Breeze Golf
Tournament had a great time Thursday, but Ricky Yandle probably had
more fun than any of the other participants. Ricky aced the 165
yard-par 3 16th hole at Carolina Sands to win a 2009 Chevrolet
Malibu donated by Dorman Motors in Elizabethtown
Winning the tournament with 15-under par was the Time Warner #2 team
consisting of Ron Naiduk, Rich Glenn, Roger Wright and Stephen
Prince. Taking second place was the Cooperative Bank group with
13-under par. Playing in that group was Joe Dorman, B.C. Smith, Gary
Mazzaferro and Mac Porter. Third place went to the First Citizens
team who shot 12-under par. On the First Citizens team was Marvin
Tatum, Ed Tatum, Emery White and Stacy Owen.
First place in the Second Flight was won by the Butler team of David
Butler, John Dove, Herb Weissenger and Wayne Mitchell who shot
9-under par. Second place was won by the Farm Bureau team of Paul
Norris, Jeffrey Rogerson (Carolina Sands Net Club Champ), Anne Beyer
and David Beyer who shot 8-under for the day. Second place was won
on a scorecard playoff. Rounding out the winning teams, and taking
third place in the Second Flight was the Patterson Team of Rusty
Patterson, Andy Burns, Jack Oxendine and David Drose who shot
8-under.
Rich Glenn won longest drive contest. Closest-to-the-hole winners
was Emery White, Wayne Mitchell, Stephen Prince and Hole-In-One
winner Ricky Yandle.
